International, “The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, created by the United
Nations in 1948, presents numerous ideas that are basic human rights. Having a bed
and food is considered a basic human right, and that we are all responsible for The Youth for Human Rights International Summit will have Dr. Catherine Thomasson of Physicians for Social Responsibility and John Elizadle, director for the North East Emergency Food Program, speaking. To attend the summit requires the donation of two cans of food which will be given to the Northeast Emergency Food Program. The summit will be Saturday, October 8, at the Church of Scientology of Portland, 709, SW Salmon, from 9 AM until noon in downtown Portland. ###
