Most infrared roof surveys are performed by technicians trained in infrared sciences, but not trained in roofing and roof systems. By combining 33 years of roofing experience and intensive infrared training Roof Consultants, Inc. now provides a complete package for clients around the nation. Over 70 % of all roofs removed and replaced don\'t need a complete restoration. In many cases the problems with a roof are isolated to small specific areas. These areas are identified by infrared thermography. \"That is where most thermographers stop. Follow up inspections are necessary to verify the camera findings, including destructive ( roof core testing) and non-destructive follow up such as electro magnetic meter readings. In most cases a roofing consultant and or a contractor performs the follow up inspections. This adds to the cost of the survey\" says Kravitz.
