Sanur, Bali – September 2006… Hotel Sanur Beach is delighted to announce the recent appointment of Mr. Clive Pelser as Chef Executive.
Clive, a South African national, is no stranger to the island of Bali having spent several years with the Santrian Hotel & Resort Group as Executive Chef Corporate overseeing the food & beverage operations in four restaurant venues. He also opened an 80-seat fine dining establishment for a luxury villa complex in Sanur specializing in Mediterranean and French cuisine with an infusion of Asian flavours.
Passionate about fresh quality produce, Clive brings with him a wealth of culinary expertise to Hotel Sanur Beach having enjoyed a successful career in several up-market hotels, estates and restaurants in his native South Africa as well as Switzerland. He is keen to return to Bali after a brief stint in Egypt for Red Sea Hotels Hurghada / Sharm El Sheikh in the challenging role as Relief Chef in this resort destination that is slowly being rebuilt following a devastating bomb attack.
Clive will be responsible for all dining outlets at Hotel Sanur Beach and he is eager to introduce some exciting new menu additions that celebrate the refreshing tastes of the tropics. As a seasoned professional who enjoys the hands-on approach with his staff in the kitchen, Clive will continue to share his culinary knowledge to a generation of young Balinese who have chosen a career path in the food & beverage industry.
