New Delhi, Delhi, Monday, March 12, 2007 (InfoMailers.com) :: Dr. Sachchidanand Joshi, Vice Chancellor of KT University of Journalism and Mass Communication, Raipur; Ashok Malik, Assistant Editor, Dainik Tribune and Prof B K Kuthiala of Kurukshetra University are the Vice Chairmen of the Indian Media Centre (IMC), as per a joint announcement made today by the Chairman of IMC Dr. Chandan Mitra and IMC Director Shyam Khosla.
Ashok Singhi, Bureau Chief of Bhaskar at Ludhiana, is the Organizing Secretary. National Secretaries are: M/s Jitendar Awasthi, News Editor, Dainik Tribune Chandigarh, Prof. Shivaji Sarkar of Indian Institute of Mass Communication, P Vijay Babu, Associate Editor of Hyderabad-based Andhra Prabha and Sudhir Kumar Das of Hindusthan Samachar, Bhuwaneshwar. Rakesh Sharma of Chandigarh will be the treasurer. Haresh Vashist, Chandigarh, Dr H S Lal of Khanna, Somnath Sharma of Rohtak, Anil Mathur of Jaipur and A P Biswal of Rourkela are members of the IMC Governing Board.
Indian Media Centre is a non-profit body comprising public-spirited journalists, media educators and professionals from various fields with commitment to high ethical standards in media. IMC is focused on skill upgradation of media persons in both print and electronic media. It also functions as a MEDIA HELPLINE and watchdog of media freedom.
