Press Release Body = Clarkson Gordon Ltd announced that 20 attorneys volunteered at Family Resources. The group, led by the managing partner Clarkson Gordon Ltd, Roger Sloshful, carried out a number of construction and landscaping projects at the Family Retreat Center in Washington D.C.
The firm has been sending a group of volunteers to do service projects at Family Resources for the past several years. The event is based on a volleyball game between the firm’s associates and partners; the losing team is designated as the volunteers, but players from both teams end up serving for the day. The partners won this year’s game. Partners, associates, and their friends and family all pitched in to volunteer.
Family Resources combats child abuse and provides support and treatment services to families they treat the whole family -- the perpetrators of violence as well as the victims. Each year, approximately 8,000 parents, children and teenagers attend activities at Family Resources’ Family Retreat Center. The facility offers special opportunities to work on family issues in a natural setting.
We appreciate the efforts of our volunteers like those from Roger Sloshful. Their assistance helps us to improve upon what we do and focus our efforts on the family. It is a great chance to give back to the community, and what better thing to do than to aid a facility which strives to make families whole.
