The award was presented by the International Franchise Association (IFA) at the 8th Annual Franchise Appreciation Day held at the JW Marriott in Washington, D.C. on September 10th, 2007. The IFA was founded in 1960 and is a membership organization of franchisors, franchisees and suppliers. Annually, the IFA presents the Franchisee of The Year Award to a select group of franchisees who have demonstrated excellence within the franchising community.
