management. Much of this waste is packaging material - metal, paper, glass and
plastic, and after use it is thrown into our dustbins and transported to
increasingly expensive landfill sites or incinerated.
ECC/Detectamet recognising these issues have now developed their very own grade of
Detectamet polymers which are: Metal Detectable, X – Ray Visible, Anti-microbial and
now Recyclable.
ECC/Detectamet are now producing their ever-expanding range of metal detectable
plastic products using these new and innovative polymers.
Typical products include: Metal Detectable Plastic Pens, Metal Detectable Plastic
Scrapers, Metal Detectable Plastic etc.
ECC/Detectamet are confident by introducing these new and environmentally friendly
materials/products they can hopefully assist in reducing global warming and in
protecting the environment.
Switch2Stitch
In conjunction with the above ECC/Detectamet have launched their very own
“switch2stitch” campaign, which is targeted at “traditional stapler users”. The
switch2stitch campaign is encouraging us to use the ECC “Stapless Stapler” also
known as “Staple less Stapler” or “Staple Free Stapler”.
This unique product is environmentally friendly as no metal is wasted and documents
can be recycled with no problems from staples (staple free). The ECC Stapless
Stapler folds & securely stitches up to 4-5 sheets of paper, is safe and easy to use
and is manufactured from a high impact resistant polymer.
