Myths about Network Marketing as a Home-Based Business

Released on: November 6, 2007, 8:41 pm

Press Release Author: Mark Booth

Industry: Marketing

Press Release Summary: Mark Booth addresses the myths of operating a network
marketing home based business.

Press Release Body: In my time marketing and talking to people about my home based
business opportunity (http://www.livingeasy-r2r.com), it has become obvious that
people are extremely concerned with failing at their home based business. As they
should be, 2 out of 3 households that try to run a home based business, fail.

An even greater percentage fail before they even start the business. Here are the
few of the myths I’ve heard about Networking Marketing as a home based business
opportunity.

Myth 1. There are no legit Opportunities. The truth is there are a lot of
opportunities out there that stand the potential of making you a lot of money.
Avoiding those that aren’t legit is pretty easy. If you’re promised to make money
without having to work, it’s not legit.

Myth 2. Networking marketing is all just a grand Pyramid Scheme. Pyramid schemes
are illegal, whereas network marketing is not. Network marketing involves goods,
services, or a combination of both, whereas pyramid schemes involve faith and false
hopes. Network marketing involves a legal business system with real and legal
products and services.

Myth 3. Network Marketing is only for salespeople. This couldn’t be further from
the truth. Does having sales skills help? Absolutely, but with the onset of the
internet and automated marketing systems, you don’t need to be a salesman to make
money in this business. In fact, I personally had no prior sales experience before
becoming successful in this business.

Myth 4. It’s impossible to succeed with network marketing. If this were true
network marketing would have fizzled out long ago, the key is that you can’t begin
your business with delusions of overnight success. If you are committed and take
the time to properly educate yourself, you can and likely will, be successful.

Myth 5. Network Marketing can make you rich in an instant. Really? Wow. Sign me up.
Seriously, network marketing is a business, and to be successful at it, you have to
treate it as such.

Myth 6. Network Marketing is for lazy people. Network marketing is NOT easy money.
If you jump in to network marketing thinking that you will make some big bucks
simply by creating a few contacts and posting a couple ads on Google, you are
severely mistaken.

Mark Booth is a leader in one of the fastest growing home business opportunities.
He is well known among his team members for helping people reach their dreams of
financial freedom and learn internet marketing at a new level never before seen. To
