Local firm Classic Country Ranges has enjoyed a boost in sales thanks to the power
of the internet.

The company founded in 2000, which specialises in traditional range cookers and
accessories, has only recently taken the internet \'Bull by the horns\'.

Managing Director Bill Platt, said \'We have seen a large jump in sales as a result
of our internet presence. While, many dot coms are experiencing problems we seem to
be doing completely the opposite. We have had to expand our I.T. department and
packing area to meet with demand, not only in range cookers but also bathrooms and
fittings\'.

The company has also had the benefit of being a registered member of the auction
site Ebay. As a result not only have telephone enquiries increased but also online
sales from the company\'s own website.

The firm launched its main website magicalhomes.co.uk, just before Christmas and
although initial visitor numbers were low, things have soon changed. The result
being, the firm has had to take on another full-time employee to over see the
packaging and dispatch of orders.

Bill Platt said \'He is delighted to welcome on board 17 year old Daniel Parsons of
Torquay, who I am sure will become a valued member of the team\'.
