Industry: Entertainment

Press Release Summary: A local artist reaches out with her talent to donate items to
charity events, for raffles and auctions. Being a big rock and roll blues fan, the
artist hits it hard when it comes to drawing some of our music history.

Press Release Body: Northwest of Chicago an area artist launches a website with art
work done on a variety of canvases, if it’s been recycled it is even more appealing
to the Island Lake Artist. “Anything can be painted or drawn on”, says the self
taught artist, Susie Kleiner having launched a website of her drawings, paintings &
sketches, filling the pages with Rock Stars, Sunsets, Beaches or even Strangers who
send in requests for gifts.

Susie Kleiner is a Stevie Ray Vaughan fan and has recently sent a piece of art to be
Cutter Brandenburg, a former road manager and friend of the late Vaughan, the
drawing will be raffled off at the upcoming, SRV 14th Annual Memorial Ride on
October 5th, 2008.

The in-depth drawing of a young Stevie, that was a taken from a shot of the guitar
player at Auditorium Shores in Austin, where the Stevie Ray Vaughan Statue now
resides. Susie Kleiner said “I intertwined many of the names that lead Stevie along
his career path, throughout the design of his leafy shirt, it’s sort of my way of
memorializing all those that were an influence as well as icons in our music history
on their own”.

Being a self taught artist has been a struggle for Kleiner, it is quite tough to
break into the professional markets, not being a juried artist, or having a degree,
she has opted to just continue her work and enjoy what she does, via her new
website: http://soul-to-soul.com.

“If my art can help put more money in the kiddy for local events, I feel that it is
worth while”. Having donated to local charity events, Lindy’s Landing – Have a Seat
for “Chair”ity – a Northwest Suburb Restaurant and Bar, Bear Necessities-A Pediatric
Cancer Foundation based in Chicago, Kleiner will continue to seek out other
functions that her work would be a welcome auction item.
