Maximum Fantasy Sports Releases Their 2008 Player Rankings and Mock Draft

Released on: August 13, 2008, 8:46 pm

Press Release Author: Bill Parsons

Industry: Entertainment

Press Release Summary: Maximum Fantasy Sports has released their Fantasy Football
player rankings for the Season 2008 in addition to their Mock Draft

Press Release Body: Maximum Fantasy
Sports
has released their href=\"http://www.maximumfantasysports.com/ExpertOpinion.aspx?Opinion=2\">Player
Rankings by Position to supplement their href=\"http://www.maximumfantasysports.com/ExpertOpinion.aspx?Opinion=1\">Mock
Draft for the 2008 Fantasy Football Season. This href=\"http://www.maximumfantasysports.com/ExpertOpinion.aspx?Opinion=2\">Player
Ranking list, published yearly by Maximum Fantasy Sports has been credited by
many for assisting them greatly in drafting a top team in their league. Maximum href=\"http://www.maximumfantasysports.com\">Fantasy Sports assumes a standard
league configuration of 12 teams drafting 16 players, which includes 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3
WRs, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 D/ST and 7 bench players. The scoring system assumed is listed
below, by scoring type:

• Passing: 4 points for a TD, 1 point per 25 yards passing, -2 points for an INT, 1
point for 2-point conversions
• Rushing: 6 points for a TD, 1 point per 10 yards rushing, -2 points for a TD, 2
point for 2-point conversions
• Receiving: 6 points for a TD, 1 point per 10 yards rushing, 1 point for 2-point
conversions
• Kicking: 1 point per XP, -2 points per missing XP, 3 points per made FG under 40
yards, 4 points between 40-49 yards, 5 points between 50-55 yards, 6 points between
56 and 99 yards. -2 points for FG missed under 29 yards
• Defense: 4 points for a TD, 2 points for a fumble recovery, 2 points for an INT, 2
points for a safety
• Special Teams: 4 points for return TDs, 2 points for blocked kicks

Maximum Fantasy Sports offers advanced scoring features, but uses what is largely
viewed as a “standard” league configuration as their basis for their Mock Draft. It
is always recommended to take your scoring system into consideration when reviewing
anyone’s mock draft. A partial list of these advanced features includes bonuses for
all TDs at Commissioner-specified ranges, bonus points awarded once certain yardage
thresholds are made, points for yardage or points allowed on defense, points for YPC
or YPR averages and points for receiving Catches.

Maximum Fantasy Sports is the only href=\"http://www.maximumfantasysports.com\">Fantasy Football site that allows
both player and position draft pre-ranks, giving Maximum Fantasy Sports the most
sophisticated draft control in fantasy
football leagues
, and that allows Commissioners to configure a league with
in-game player changes. This feature is optional, but, when used, gives the manager
the ability to immediately react to injuries or player benching situations and
substitute in another player at that position for the remaining unplayed quarters or
half of that fantasy player’s game. If you have trouble coping with the href=\"http://www.maximumfantasysports.com\">NFL Bye weeks, Maximum Fantasy Sports
has a configuration option that allows you to rollover a player’s performance to his
Bye week. Another unique feature is the opportunity to play a championship game
between the winner of your league and the winner of another Fantasy Sports league
and to trade draft picks before the draft.
