Silver Ware Studios Takes Photo Finish to a New Level of Martial Arts

Released on: September 14, 2008, 10:46 am

Press Release Author: Kimberly Ware

Industry: Entertainment

Press Release Summary: Photo Finish calls for a new look on martial arts and action
from VFX, SFX and stunts.

Press Release Body: “I’m a big fan of martial art films. From Jet Li, Jackie Chan,
Bruce Lee, and Steven Segal, I love the beauty of the art. I want to bring back the
realism of those martial arts and upgrade the look.” said Producer/Director, Travis
Ware, when asked about his upcoming film, Photo Finish. He wants to give the style
of Aikido a look that no one else has seen on the screen. With its complicated
throws, Travis wants to capture it on the screen with the eye of Oscar winner cinema
photographer, Peter Pau (Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon). Travis wants a DP that can
capture the beauty of the art and create the look that audiences will wonder about.

It was said the Founder of Aikido, Morihei Ueshiba could do things that were
magical. Travis wants to show the magic to the viewing audience with the visual
effects of Evgeny Barulin (Wanted). Evgeny, the Visual Effects Supervisor on the
film plans to show the effects of what happens when someone comes in contact with an
Aikido martial artist.

What’s an action film without stunts? Travis, who is also the writer of the film,
revised the script to have extra action that has several fight and action sequences
that will take two weeks each to prep and shoot around the Atlanta and Rome, Georgia
area. There has even been talk about building a warehouse compound on the land that
SWSI (Silver*Ware Studios, Inc.) plans to buy to construct the long awaiting studio,
but that has yet to be confirmed.

Being that it’s Travis’s first major film, he is “in talks” with action director,
Corey Yuen to work beside him to help create the action scenes that he’s known for
(Transporter 1-3, War, and Kiss of the Dragon with Jet Li.) And if bone breaking
and body crashing Aikido isn’t enough for you, Travis added explosions and gun fire
to spice things up. SWSI is “in talks” with Special Effects supervisor, Laird
McMurray (The Incredible Hulk) to come aboard. He read the script and said, “Had a
look at your script and you defiantly need help with effects.”

The film is scheduled to go into production in January 2009. SWSI is still waiting
on the three lead actors’ counter (Halle Berry, Jamie Foxx, and Colin Farrell). If
accepted, the three actors will be part of an "Aikido Action Extreme" film. With the
VXF, SFX, and stunts, Photo Finish will keep martial arts and action fans coming
back for more. Can you understand the multitude?
