properties THAT Agency has been contracted to develop.

The Gran Melia Shanghai website was designed as homage to the hotel itself.
Incorporating many of the thematic elements featured on the GranMelia.com brand
site, Gran Melia Shanghai offers its own distinct user experience.

"With Gran Melia Shanghai, we wanted to maintain many of the motifs used on the Gran
Melia brand site; however, we did not want to be confined by them," said THAT Agency
president, Bill Teubner, "We sought to create this website with its own distinct
personality."

The design of Gran Melia Shanghai incorporates prominent imagery that stretches
across the page. THAT Agency also handled the creation of the website's copy,
reflecting the Gran Melia Shanghai experience, the sensation, and the setting of its
surroundings.

THAT Agency developed Gran Melia Shanghai around a fundamental HTML architecture.
CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) was employed to define specific on-page design elements
such as text, color, and the position of content. Finally, Prototype, a JavaScript
Framework, was used in conjunction with script.aculo.us to provide the website
additional user interface elements and visual effects.
