Award-winning singer and actress Marianne Faithfull is due to perform at the City Winery in New York next month.

The veteran performer will appear over three nights from Sunday December 18th, giving fans a chance to hear music from her recent studio album Horses and High Heels.

Released in March, the LP features new compositions and cover versions of classic songs from the 1960s.

Faithfull, who arrived on the music scene in 1965 with her debut album Come My Way, has enjoyed a remarkable career of highs and lows.

After the end of her well-documented relationship with Mick Jagger, she endured several years of drug addiction and homelessness before returning to prominence with the critically acclaimed Broken English album in 1979.

Tickets to see the 64-year-old artist perform at the City Winery can be purchased online. Bar stools are priced at $65 (£41.80), reserved tables at $75 and VIP tables at $100.

Situated on Varick Street in downtown Manhattan, the venue provides an arts and performing space for wine enthusiasts.
