Oliver!, one of the most popular British musicals of all time, will be on stage in Cardiff over the festive period.

The Wales Millennium Centre is set to play host to Cameron Mackintosh's new touring production from Saturday December 10th to Saturday January 21st 2012, giving theatre lovers in the Welsh capital a chance to see the show after its record-breaking West End run.

Featuring songs such as Food Glorious Food, Consider Yourself and I'd Do Anything, Oliver! boasts a timeless score by Lionel Bart and a cast of larger-than-life characters from the classic novel by Charles Dickens.

The Cardiff production will feature Neil Morrissey, star of Men Behaving Badly and Waterloo Road, as Fagin. Other cast members include Samantha Barks as Nancy and Iain Fletcher as Bill Sikes.

Tickets for Oliver! can be purchased online, priced between £19.50 and £60.

Evening performances at the Millennium Centre's Donald Gordon Theatre will begin at 19:30 GMT and matinee shows are due to start at 14:30.
